One of West Beverly Hill's High's more troubled students, Adrianna Tate-Duncan is a theatre 'goddess', but the pressure applied by her mother to pursue and succeed at her acting has pushed her to edge. Add into that the social pressures already obvious at the school, plus the expectations of best friend and 'it girl' Naomi and Adrianna soon feels as if she can't cope
This pressure leads to a serious drug problem and some seriously bad behaviour. Threatened by the competition, she tries to scupper Annie's theatrical ambitions and stir up some romantic problems for the new arrivals at the school. Despite having extensive acting talent and an incredible singing voice, Adrianna's demons seem destined to destroy her career.
But soon her drug addiction becomes a serious problem and Navid steps in to help her emotionally and financially. He pays for her to go to a renowned rehab center for the best treatment possible. As a result, she starts spending more time with him and the possibility of a romance develops. But soon Adrianna has more troubles to face - as some wild behaviour clocked up during her hedonistic times comes back to haunt her and her friends at 90210.
