Harry Wilson is the patriarch of the Wilson family and the new principal at West Beverly. He met his wife, Debbie, in Kansas where they started their family that includes biological daughter Annie and adopted son Dixon. Though they appear to have the perfect life and the perfect family in the Mid-West, Harry decides to move his family to Beverly Hills and took a job at his alma mater, West Beverly Hills High School, in order to be closer to his ailing mother, the former TV actress Tabitha, who happens to be Kelly's old neighbour.

But problems soon emerge in the California sunshine as his family copes with this new competitive world and as their High School principal he's thrown into many of their problems. Even his perfect marriage to Debbie is thrown in jeopardy when Harry’s high school girlfriend, Tracy Clark, the mother of Naomi, reveals the fact that they have a child together.
