Being Erica:

Paula is a veteran of the Canadian film and television industry and has begun making a mark for herself in the United States. She is currently a series regular on the hit series Degrassi: The Next Generation and was recently nominated for a Gemini Award for her portrayal of Jane. Brancati stars alongside Andrew McCarthy in the upcoming Hallmark Channel feature film The National Tree premiering this Thanksgiving. In 2006, Brancati was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series for her work on the Emmy Award-winning YTV series, Dark Oracle for her lead role as Cally Stone.

Brancati's past television credits include: a leading role on The Blobheads, and guest appearances on Life With Derek, Heartland, Radio Free Roscoe, Doc, Veritas, Kevin Hill, Painkiller Jane, Filthy Gorgeous, and Angela's Eyes.

Brancati played principal roles in the Disney Channel features Cow Belles and Jump In! In 2003, Brancati debuted in the feature film Cold Creek Manor with Sharon Stone and Dennis Quaid. That same year, she made her professional debut with the Canadian Stage Company in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Brancati's passion for the arts also extends to music and she is classically trained in both voice and piano.
