Fonejacker bags a Bafta

Fonejacker won a Bafta last night for 'best comedy programme' (whatever the heck that means). It beat Russell Brand's Ponderland, The Armstrong and Miller Show and Star Stories, so it must be good. Peep Show won best sitcom too.

We're currently gearing up for a new series of Fonejacker, which will hit E4 later this year. We're planning loads of great online stuff, including lots of new video and perhaps some new characters...

See the Fonejacker website for clips from the first series.

Channel 4 won seven Baftas in total - more than any other TV channel,  the smug bastards. See the full list on the Bafta website.

Greetings from the E4 Evel Knievel Flugtag Team

DesignA big Hollywood Hi to all you Flugtaggers and crazy E4 fans!

The E4 Evel Kneivel team is now at full throttle with a green light to Go, go go. We have a hectic two month schedule ahead to build our Aero (not so) Dynamic flying machine!

Things have been made slightly more difficult due to the fact that one of our team, a certain Mr Doug "Stupid" Hill, is on the missing list. Last seen at a bar in Weymouth. A can of Redbull reward is offered if anyone can find him... and keep him there!

We've successfully competed in previous high-antic events, such as Gumball 3000 (a hi-jinks worldwide car rally) and Cannonball 8000 (another car rally), and a brief stint in the Candyrun (as the Candy Cop),  as well as numerous other tv programmes and car magazines. There's a good chance you may, or as luck may have it, not, seen out faces on the tv and in magazines.

However, as a special treat, here are mugshots of the team:

Craig Russell

Craig "Charlie" Russell
Age: Forty "yeah right" something
Occupation: Numerous, including get-away driver.
Hobbies: Running and climbing a lot.

Paul Hatton

Paul "Chopper" Hatton
Age: Forty "well" something
Occupation: Top wrench!
Hobbies: Breaking Italian speed limits, resisting arrest and actually flying helicopters, so that's our aviation link sorted!

Doug Hill

Doug "Stupid" Hill
Age: 50
Occupation: Children's entertainer
Hobbies: Er, drinking (is that an actual hobby?)

Phil Hatton

Phil "Hollywood" Hatton
E4 Flugtag Captain, also the ever-so-dashing team pilot, the brains, the looks of the outfit, and now, obviously, the writer!

Age: The Baby, at just 40
Occupation: Budding film star, creative writer, a kind of XX-type figure. You know, the kind of man that men want to be. Well, maybe not in that shirt.
Hobbies:Racing cars (smashing!), motorbikes (big ouch!), skiing (badly), snowboarding (ooh, a bit better at that), water skiing (a god), TV and film work (ahem!) and anything Evel Knievel!

So, that's the team. Impressive huh?

What are we building? Well with thanks and permission from Evel's son Kelly, we have been allowed for this one event to recreate the famous Skycycle last seen soaring abot the Snake River Canyon way back in 1974.

It works on the simple principle of "the more the crowd cheers us the further it flies", so come on everyone and get behind the E4 Evel Knievel Team.

We will be raising money also for breast cancer, a cruel disease that took my beloved sister and aunt. So please keep in touch as we are looking for sponsorship per foot of flight, all monies to our chosen charity.

So, happy landings!

PS: We need your votes! Follow this link and vote for us!

The Inbetweeners: Look away now

The cast

We've launched a site for The Inbetweeners, starting May 1st on E4.

You'll love it. Well, your inner teenage boy will. It's funny, it's puerile, it's silly, it's painfully true. The site's been written by Iain and Damon, the guys behind the show, and it's as wince-inducing and bark-out funny as the show.

There's also lovely competition, dodgy wallpaper, and a chance for you to share embarrassing teenage memories.

We've had some great meetings with Legal about this site ("hmmn. Oh my god! No. You can't have that word, ever ever. No. But you can have...").  It's been worth it.

And trust us on this - you'll fancy Will's mum too.

Yes, yes, One Tree Hill is back soon

UPDATE: 21/04/08:

Sorry guys, but the fifth season of One Tree Hill has been put back to June 9th at 9pm, with repeats each week on Tuesdays at 10pm.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

Crikey. Talk about being message-bombed by One Tree Hill fans. You'll be pleased to know that the fifth series of One Tree Hill returns on Monday, May 19th at 10pm. We'll have clips and maybe a new website if you all behave. If you have any questions about TV scheduling, please fire them in the general direction of http://www.e4.com/help.

In other news, Charlie Brooker is writing a horror series for E4, which will air towards the end of this year. We can't reveal much more at the moment, but it sounds fantastic.

It's also your last chance to win a trip to Hawaii. To celebrate Russell Brand's new film, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, we're giving away a trip that could see you and a friend staying in Hawaii and LA, with some surfing lessons thrown in for good measure. Go to e4.com/forgettingsarahmarshall to enter. It closes April 23rd, so get a move on.

What should we do next on e4.com?

We're a mighty three months old now and have started to discuss what new features we should add next to e4.com. We have lots of ideas kicking around, but some bright spark reminded us that we should ask you lot what you'd like to see first.

I'll assume you want loads more of the usual stuff like Skins, Fonejacker, Reaper and the rest (we're working on it!), but what new features would you like to see on the site?  Please vote below. It'll save us having another argument.

If you've got any other ideas or suggestions then leave a comment and let us know.

We wanted to get a pet on E4.com. You know, something with soulful eyes and a wet nose that you just can't say no to.

Actually, we got two. They're called Lee and Lindsay and they're two Scottish lads who are travelling the world doing silly stuff. They're completing 101 Challenges - from licking goats in Goa to doing a conga on the Great Wall of China. They're doing it mostly for a laugh, partly for charity, and also for television.

There'll be a TV show in the autumn, but meanwhile, you get to follow their travels pretty much as they happen - we'll be bringing you video clips, blogs and all sorts of stupid stuff. We'll also be giving you the chance to get involved, setting them additional challenges, or organising rewards. Plus, they're always being ripped off by travel agents, so feel free to offer them tips about where they're going to. Anyway, head off over to Lee and Lindsay's site.

They're enormously likeable, and you get to take part in our mildly revolutionary interactive travel show. It's just like any other holiday show, only with a bad case of the squits.
