The E4 fairies have just whispered into my ear that Noel Fielding will star in his first solo series which will be on E4 2011.

Currently titled Noel Fielding: Boopus, the project is described as a mixture of sketches, characters, art and animation as well as some celebridee guests. Oh and if you're a big fan of infusing, you're in luck as it is described as being "all infused with the singularly bizarre, fantastical and magical style which Fielding has made his own". Phew.

Our C4 Comedy Commissioner Nerys Evans said:

"We are so delighted to be working with Noel on this beautifully unique series. It’s a real passion piece for him which makes it hugely exciting for us. It merges Noel’s fantastical character comedy into beautifully animated art, as well as being, most importantly, laugh out loud funny."

In-between eating glitter on a marshmallow cloud, Noel Fielding said:

"I want to make something in the spirit of Spike Milligan or the Kenny Everett Show but using modern techniques.  Blending filmed comedy with animation. Television needs a madman!  I want the show to be psychedelic and beautiful but have charm and personality.  If Dali made a show hopefully it would look like this."

They're so small you can fit them in your pocket, bless 'em. Well now you literally can with the School of Comedy iPhone app.

This hil-ar-i-ous soundboard features all the best quotes from Series 2: abuse passers-by with The Van Men, talk shop with Leonard Lizard and show you're cultured with the Museum Perv. You know it, carry on.

It's crammed right up with other features too - get all the details here or watch the video down there for loads more info.

Head off to iTunes now and get it then

Listen up bumders, series 3 is almost over but you've still got a little while to catch up on 4oD.

You’ve got 30 days to watch every episode. That means you’ve got until midnight tonight (13th October) to watch episode 1.

Catch up with episode 2 before midnight on 20th October, episode 3 on 27th, episode 4 on 3rd November, episode 5 on 10th, and episode 6 on 17th. You get the idea.

Get to 4oD now

The lads will be showing their series 3 faces on 4oD again later this year. And there’ll still be loads of fish-punching funniness from series 1 & 2 on 4oD right now.

And if you’re really gagging for more, you can always stick you hand in your pocket and get the series 3 DVD (shameless plug, we know). Or get all those magic moments is one great big package with the series 1-3 boxset. PLUS, all three series are still primed and ready to buy on iTunes, too.
