Congrats to us (and you, for loving us), as we've only gone and got some  BAFTA nominations, and you can help us win one...

The Inbetweeners and Glee have been nominated for the BAFTA YouTube Audience award - that's right, that's two of our shows in the same ruddy category! Last year Skins won this award thanks to the fans voting. So don't let us down please this year, vote here for us to win. Please vote. Please.

As well as the audience award, we've got two more nominations for The Inbetweeners (Situation Comedy) and Misfits (Drama Series). Hurrah!

Here’s a treat, in anticipation for Glee's return on Monday, 19 April (it’s only been off air for a couple of weeks, but from all the noise you’ve been making, you would think it was longer). It’s Sue Sylvester's homage to Madonna's Vogue! Enjoy.

Terry Tibbs from Facejacker

Fonejacker is hanging up the telephone and invading the real world. The mastermind behind Fonejacker, Kayvan Novak, takes on the physical form of his characters to prank people in person in his new series, Facejacker.

Kayvan’s slapped on the prosthetics to assume the guise of characters such as Dufrais and Terry Tibbs (picture above), as well as a bunch of new faces.

The series starts on Channel 4, on Friday 16th April at 10pm. (Hold on – Channel 4? WTF?). Yep, brand new series = new channel. We’ll repeat it on E4 later in April though.

There’s an interview with Kayvan on the new Facejacker website on Channel4.com

Here's the old e4.com Fonejacker website.

Oh yeah, there’s also a great, new Fonejacker iphone app, which you can buy on iTunes. It's crammed with sound boards, clips and more.

Behind the scenes photo from the second series

Filming started on the third series of The Inbetweeners this week. The boys are back, with Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison returning as Will, Simon, Jay and Neil.

Expect to see Greg Davies (Mr. Gilbert), Emily Head (Carli) and Emily Atack (Charlotte) occupying much of the boys' time once again.

The new series will air later this year. Work continues on a film version of The Inbetweeners and a US translation is also in the pipeline.

The Glee girls

The cast of Glee topped the UK album charts this week, knocking Alicia Keys from number one, and beating Lady Gaga's sudden leap up the charts after her performance at the Brit Awards.

'Glee: The Music, Volume I', is a compilation of songs from the series so far.

Find all the music from Glee, with links to buy the tracks over on our Glee website.

The Friends gang
It’s true!  After 15 years in the company of good Friends, we’ve decided to move Ross, Rachel, Chandler and the rest of the gang out of the E4 flat and finally go our separate ways. We’ll continue to show Friends up until autumn 2011, so you’ll have plenty of time to say your goodbyes.

The good news is that this gives E4 the opportunity to refresh the TV schedule with new stuff – so that means bringing over new US shows and creating more exciting homegrown series. With more new Skins, Inbetweeners, Misfits, How I Met Your Mother, and One Tree Hill (to name a few) launching over the next 12 months, there’s plenty to keep your eyeballs busy.

Gill Hay, Head of Acquisitions says:  "After 15 years, 10 hit series and 236 terrific episodes it’s time to say goodbye to old Friends and welcome new ones, in the form of more comedy, drama and entertainment from the US and UK.  We are incredibly proud to have been the home of Friends for so long, but at a point when the Channel is undergoing a period of creative renewal it felt like the right time to part company."

We've got a stonker of a January lined up for you.

The second series of 90210 will kick the New Year off nicely, starting 5th January at 9pm. A week later and you'll be hooked on Glee, which we previewed earlier this week and has already gained a massive following. Glee starts 11th January at 9pm and runs for a glorious 22 weeks.

Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother returned with new series this week and will continue into the New Year, from 9pm on Thursdays. The final ever Celeb Big Brother also starts in January, so expect a few surprises. Then there's Cleveland, our animated sitcom from the makers of Family Guy. Head to the Cleveland website for some early clips.

And wait for it: Skins returns for a fourth series. We've got some really special online stuff lined up for Skins fans this year, along with our annual website redesign planned before the new series.

This all adds up to one heck of a start to 2010.

Hope you all have a great Christmas!

Love,

The E4 Team

Hollyoaks gets a new home

Hollyoaks

... and it's not in the goat house. It's on e4.com!

Why have we moved Hollyoaks from channel4.com, you ask?

Firstly, Hollyoaks has its 'First Look' on E4, so it makes sense to E4 the heck outta it's website. We also want to give fans the chance to rate and comment on pretty much everything, as well as upload stuff. You couldn't do that on the old Hollyoaks site, but we're all at it over here.

E4.com is also the home of Hollyoaks Later and campaigns like Desperately Seeking - the online audition that got Beth Kingston (India) a job on the show. And generally, E4.com is hella fly, and all the cool shows wanna come hang with us.

Like anyone who moves home, we've not finished tidying up yet, so excuse the mess while we fix things up.

Head over to the new, official Hollyoaks site now and leave a comment to tell us what you think of it: e4.com/hollyoaks

Glee pilot date announced

Kurt from Glee

Quick update to say that we'll broadcast the Glee pilot on E4 on Tuesday, 15th December at 9pm!

From the press release:

"Glee follows an optimistic secondary school teacher as he attempts to inspire an oddball group of students to realise their star potential and restore the school's show choir - the glee club - to its former glory.

In this advance preview of the pilot episode, teacher Will Schuester - or Mr Schu - begs the headteacher - Principal Figgins - to let him take on the Herculean task of transforming this group of underdogs into a world-class vocal ensemble. The pupils who join the club are; Mercedes, who apes Aretha Franklin; Kurt, the fashion-conscious falsetto; Tina, a punk-rock; Artie who plays guitar and is bullied for being geeky; and the diva-in-the-making Rachel.

Glee Club rehearsals get off to a rocky start; Rachel feels that without a formidable male lead to match her talent, they will never be taken seriously. Principal Figgins then threatens to cancel the club in favour of renting the auditorium out. He and Schu strike a bargain: if the club earns a spot in regionals, the club can stay. And then Schu comes across Finn, the school's popular quarterback with a Motown voice. The series begins in January 2010 on E4."

Glee

Since we announced E4's acquisition of Glee back in September, we've been inundated with enquiries about when we'll be showing it. The series doesn't start 'til January, but as an early Christmas present we've decided to show the first episode on E4 in mid-December. Whoop!

Glee has become a phenomenon in the US, so we really can't wait to share it with you.

We'll announce the broadcast date and time next week, in time for the launch of our lovely Glee website, which we're busy adding sparkly things to as we speak.
