Well, it’s all over. Firmly ensconced back where they came from, British and international comedians are all in hibernation. All waiting for their hangovers to evaporate (except Pippa Evans who didn’t drink), all discovering that eating healthily and not drinking through the night does actually make you feel pretty good, actually.

There are plenty of stories from this years festival, but I’ll leave them for the comedians to form part of next years shows. Instead, I’ll concentrate on our own baby  - the E4 laughs at Edinburgh show. Blimey we’re proud of it. It was, for quite a significant time, officially more popular than Brand, Moyles and Gervais.

Everything about this show was different, funny and original. Believe you me, getting comedians out of bed for our 10:30 am start really was a hard task. All admitted afterwards that they didn’t know why they had accepted to come on (some really didn’t need the profile) – but once there, they had one of their best gigs of the festival. We knows how to run tings.

All apart from Jim Bowen and Ivan Brackenbury were more than likely still drunk. Maxwell, our favourite Irish chappie, had only had 2  hours  sleep before we got him out of bed, Reginald D Hunter hardly said a word before going on stage and Rhod Gilbert actually couldn’t because his voice had completely gone.

Yet there was always a moment when you could see their eyes light up and a smile appear on their face. For Reginald D Hunter it was Sweet Adam Page, for Rhod Gilbert it was Lloyd Langford and the School of Comedy. All are on our best of show.

Pippa Evans stole everyone hearts at the festival with her lonely characters, she did Lorretta Maine for us, and it was jolly good. Ginger and Black are the final part of our musical trio with their dark folk/rap.

Finally, Tom Deacon is also back with his brilliant material about sex in movies and aussie rap as is Jason John Whitehead with his Olympics skit

All in all, it was a cracking show to put on, and we do hope you enjoyed it.

That’s it, I’m off to drink more smoothies and eat pumpkin seeds.

Louis
