In late August, we asked the musically talented, yet criminally unsigned lot amongst you to upload a track. From the hundreds of top quality entries we received, our esteemed panel of judges picked their nine favourites.
These nine acts appeared throughout The Hollyoaks Music Show with Matalan.co.uk series and were championed by mentors. Their mentors weren't any old average Joes though! No, their mentors were Hollyoaks cast members!
After the Hollyfolks went about their mentoring ways, we asked you to vote for your favourite unsigned act - the winner of the vote would get to appear in an actual bonfide episode of Hollyoaks! Outstanding stuff, no?
Anyways, the winners of the competition were Southend-on Sea's finest punk trio, Redtrack. As mentored by Hollie-Jay Bowes (Michaela McQueen), Redtrack wowed TV viewers nationwide and will now feature in an episode of Hollyoaks. That episode is tonight! So tune in and see them rock The Loft on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.
