Jen and Tilly. Affectionately known as Jelly, yet they have a history more unsteady than that of their namesake. A pertinent question, perhaps is whether theirs is a good relationship and one we should believe in. Are they right for one another? We state both cases here. Make up your own minds...
There’s no question about it, we are completely #JellyYAY. They are so cute. And okay, it might be a little bit forbidden love…but if it was good enough for Romeo and Juliet, it’s good enough for us.
Society may frown upon this teacher-pupil pairing, but let’s not forget that they first met before Jen was working at the school. And as a 17-year-old student and a trainee in her early twenties, there’s hardly even an age gap. Love is love, and Jen and Tilly clearly do love each other.
Jen and Tilly. It’s just not right. Giving it a cutesy little name like ‘Jelly’ doesn’t hide the reality of what it is. If you’re going to be with someone, you really shouldn’t have to lie about it. Deciding that a relationship is going to be a ‘secret’ one kind of implies that you think there’s something wrong with it.
Jen is clearly embarrassed of Tilly and she just wants everything to be on her own terms. One minute she’s making her feel bad for choosing her mates over her and the next she’s blowing her off completely. And did anyone else hear how Jen described Tilly ‘ah, it’s no one special’…oh stop it Jen, we’re getting all choked up here…
A good relationship has to be based on trust and an equal sharing of power. This one is neither. Perhaps that’s the problem with dating your teacher…
