Actress and musician Abi Phillips will play character Liberty. Beautiful, bubbly, but very spoilt, Liberty joins the show when she meets new friend Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter). But when Theresa falls for Liberty’s fiancé Ethan (Craig Vye) their budding friendship is put to the ultimate test!
Abi Phillips landed the role of Liberty when her song ‘Missing You’ that she wrote, produced and performed for Hollyoaks, caught the attention of Hollyoaks’ Producers. The song was used during Steph’s heartbreaking death scene in the big Hollyoaks fire earlier this month. It is also available to download. Craig Vye will play Detective Constable Ethan Scott. Hunky heartthrob Ethan arrives in the village and catches the eye of a vulnerable and troubled Theresa McQueen. There is an undeniable chemistry, but with Theresa still holding the secret of being Calvin’s murderer and Ethan being the local PC Plod, their budding relationship spells danger.
Finally, Peter Mitchell will play the mysterious Irish Pete. Wheelchair bound, Pete has a score to settle and while Cheryl’s happy to see their old friend, Brendan would rather forget their complicated past.
Ex-premiership footballer Peter Mitchell became wheel-chair bound after a tragic car accident left him paralysed and ended his career with Leeds United FC. Following the accident, Peter tried acting and landed a part in dark comedy ‘Cast Offs’ and later a guest part in daytime soap Doctors.
