The Inbetweeners beats Graham Norton in the ratings

Last night's debut episode of the second series of The Inbetweeners was the highest rated original commission on E4 this year. It beat BBC Two's Graham Norton Show by more than 50,000 viewers in the 10pm slot, as reported on the Guardian website. That'll learn him for defecting to the other side (and by that we mean from Channel 4 to the BBC).

If you were one of the 1 million or so people who watched it, we hope you enjoyed it!

See preview clips of next week's episode on The Inbetweeners site.

It is disgusting that the writers of this programme are using Downs sydrome and Autism to gain cheap laughs. The age group that this programme is aimed at may well find it funny but some will use it to bully people who fall into these disability groups.Yes , the programme is funny but it does not need to target the vulnerable and that is exactly what your writers are doing . Disability groups work so hard to stop bullying and raise awareness and rubbish like this mocks all the hard work. No need , no need at all.
