We won the BAFTA!

Thanks 1000 fold for voting for us at the BAFTAs - we bloody well won! As we were against such hard hitters in the ratings - who had support on daytime TV and in the newspapers - and we were the only show on a digital channel, we asked you the skins massive to do your bit, and you bloody well did it!

As the award was decided by a public vote, we're sure our win was because of all your support online, and not just because the show is ace.

    I voted TWICE,to be fair though the award couldn't pssible be representative of the entire british public as less that a sixtieth of the population even watch it, its a good thing skins had the initiative to put the link to the voting page on this website, others there'd have been no chance.

    Yes ILOVEskins 'Moon' comes out in the summer(ish) but it is an indie film made in a month not the mainstream full blown stuff that comes out of the major studios and does little for the advancement of art or the actors involved. Yes Kaya plays American and, from the trailer clip available, does it well. Advancing her career is nothing to be ashamed of but selling out to 'the system' could have her burned out by age 30. British acting skills are rightfully acknowledged as being among the best and looking at any of the cast, you will see many if not most of the skills used week by week through the series. Hollywood emotion tends to be brick subtle and not the nuanced, explored depths of our favourite comedy/drama. It is great.
