'Hope you enjoyed the episode. It was a tricky one to write (they all are), though about as much fun as I've had working on Skins. I'm not going to say too much about what just happened though, so you'll have to hang on to next week to get answers to your questions.

I thought I'd clear something up. There's been some speculation on the forums about the nature of Effy's illness, with some people unsure on exactly what she is suffering from. She has psychosis, which you can read about in far better detail than I am qualified to discuss here:

We've worked with the guys at Mind this year, and they're great. Get
in touch with them if you need to.

I've recorded a commentary for ep 7, which will be on the DVD, and
there is a making of video about the writing of the episode. Hopefully some of the questions you doubtlessly have will be answered in there somewhere.

I know it's gonna feel like a long wait till next week. All I can say
is that your patience will be rewarded. Next weeks episode is the
fucking tits.

    It's a bit frustrating to have the last episode end like that. So many questions that need an answer. At first I have to say that I thought killing Freddie was totally unnecessary & that it sort of condemned people from trusting their psychiatrist. Although I'm sure that that was not the intention, it kinda looked that way. But maybe in some ways, it needed to go that far for Cook's charcter to finally show his true self, that is loving & caring & ready to do anything for a true friend. Then again, we haven't seen Fred's body so as a magnificient twist, he could still be alive... I hope that in the film (there is confirmation of that right ?), those questions'll be answered & that a lot will happen, staying true to Skins. TY 4 everythin

    I hated the ending to Ep 7 as it just completely distracted from how well the mental illness had been dealt with up to that point. That said, the psych hospital was bizarre and so far away from the reality of most psychiatric wards. Bearing in mind I watched half this series on an acute ward, it felt very strange to see such a weird place in use on the series!

    This Skins has been absolutely amazing, and i love this cast, i will miss them so much don't know if i can even watch the next series without Cook. I only got into Skins because of him. However, i would have forgiven the outrageously over the top 'psychiatrist turns obsessive murderer' thing in episode 7 if the last episode would have made up for it in an explosive revenge plot, but i'm afraid it failed to live up to expextation. Everyone i have spoken to feels the same. The Emily/Naomi scene was brilliant, but it took way too long to get into the 'where is freddie' stuff that i'd been waiting for n then you didn't even see the outcome of Cook's meeting with Mr Psycho. Please please please make the ending more explosive n exciting next time

    Mr Jamie Brittan please stop killing off the nice guys! I must admit you do write the storylines well but i was soo disturbed by Freddies " death " im clinging on to the hope hes still alive however in series 2 i was so glad when Chris lived then you went and killed him too! WHY? I do think your writing skills are legendary and the show really does hit some raw nerves ive never cried or laughed as much as when ive watched skins long may it continue! No more killing the cuties tho!
