Luke taking part in this year's Soccer Six

It happens in May and takes place at Chelsea FC. But does that really matter? It's for a great cause, and Luke (aka Freddie) will be flying the flag for Skins. Would be even better if we had our own team.

Who would play, and what position?

If they were in character we would have to say:

Tony (Captain, obvs)
Maxxie (all that dancing = stamina)
JJ (tactics)
Cook (underhand tackles)

Hmmm who else?

And then there's a girl's team:
Effy would be rubbish  - ("I don't try"= not a team player)
What about a little twin fing to fox the opponents?
And we would love to see Michelle and Jal in a football kit.
Not sure if Pandora or Cassie would grasp the rules.

Thanks 1000 fold for voting for us at the BAFTAs - we bloody well won! As we were against such hard hitters in the ratings - who had support on daytime TV and in the newspapers - and we were the only show on a digital channel, we asked you the skins massive to do your bit, and you bloody well did it!

As the award was decided by a public vote, we're sure our win was because of all your support online, and not just because the show is ace.

Edward: Pay attention Mercedes (great name by the way ) they do wear jeans sometimes, but just not all the time as it would be boring and I think our gang have got more imagination than that !

Yonks ago, when skins 3 was still being filed (sob!) and Skins Music Advisor Alex Hancock was looking for music; we asked you for your very own tracks.

The very first artist picked was Desiree, and we've just been told she's signed a recording and publishing deal with Warners! She's also on tour soon, so look out.

Skins 3 has left the building

So Skins 3 has been and gone. For us it was a case of blink and you'll miss it. It really did fly by!

It wasn't too long ago that we were scratching our heads and imagining a skins without Maxxie, Cassie, Chris, Sid and everyone else that made series 1 and 2 such a refreshing dose of drama. We were left wondering how the heck the new cast could live up to characters that were loved so much by you guys.

And then Freddie, Cook and JJ landed, and sat waiting for something to begin. Effy Stonem crashed into their lives, and chaos ensued. From Emily's lovelorn looks across the hall to Naomi; our sassy blonde's fantastically dry wit, Panda's unfeasibley feasible dialogue; Thomas's arrival, and Katie's overly confident entrance at Roundview - a new gang was forming, and finding their way with one another and with themselves.

Skins takes a full series to get to know the characters; which is frustrating as well. We have to wait a whole series before we get to know them and then they're gone.

As the trailer promised, Skins 3 has been a complete riot. We just wish the riot could continue for a little while longer. Roll on Skins 4

UPDATE: seems like Naomi's episode is still your favourite so far, followed by episode 9. You love a happy ending don't you? Unsurprisingly (seeing as they were part of your favourite pairing for skins 3) Emily then Naomi were the most popular characters; with Cook in third place. Seems like the Cookie Monster finally won you over by the end of the series, which we're sure is to do with understanding him more after episode 10. He's a complicated soul after all. Then again, aren't we all? [update 20/04/2009]

Skins 2 has been nominated for the Philips Audience Award at the forthcoming BAFTAs and we are calling on all Skins fans to bid the old cast a final farewell by securing the win. Noticed a few comments pointing out that episode 10 isn't available on 4oD catch up yet so we did some digging (not really, more asked why it wasn't there) and it will be available today. They're just doing whatever they need to do, so that it's there (pretty technical jargon there, hope you kept up).
