About Clara
Our blogger Clara Maidment is Perou’s First Assistant on the Dirty Sexy Things photoshoots.
A life-long fashion lover, Clara has been an avid photography fan since her dad bought her an SLR camera when she was 15 years old. However, it was only when she tired of working in TV production that she thought of her vocation as a full-time career.
Clara first met Perou while working at London’s Big Sky Studios. Although Perou’s trademark sunglasses and ‘fists full of metal’ initially made Clara wary of the photographer, she soon warmed to him and began working as his second assistant.
Now an established photographer in her own right, Clara has been making her mark in the fashion industry by shooting collections for designers such as luxury lingerie designer Nichole De Carle.
Clara, who also styled the models for some of their gruelling photoshoots, says that the best things about filming were model Charlotte’s antics and dancer BB’s abs, (which she describes as ‘yum-a-licious’). After every episode she’ll be giving you exclusive behind-the-scenes details into what went on during the photoshoots as well as what the models are really like.
