So who is the best Friend? As in, which Friend has spent most screen time on the show? Ross maybe? He's had plenty of big plot-lines, complicated stories involving multiple characters which need a lot of time to sort out. Or Rachel? She's often on screen, discussing her man woes while playfully flicking her hair. Not Chandler, he's always in boxes or otherwise obscured.
But none of these come close. Scientists from the Department of Friend's Studies at the University of Trent have discovered that Monica's Fridge is seen on-screen more than any other character. 78% of the British population could accurately describe every magnet, picture and dent on the fridge door with their eyes closed without really realising it - it is that prevalent in our lives.
The fridge is Chill-co 4000, especially selected by the Producers for it's ease on the eye and excellent chilling capacity. During the run of the show, the actors would often keep their packed lunches or cans of Tizer in there, to refresh then during an exhausting work schedule.
The stars grew so fond of the fridge that they would decorate it at Christmas and would always take it along to awards ceremonies. At the end of the series, the fridge was divided equally between each cast and crew member.
