Ok, so Ross might be considered a bit of an egghead. But he’s also a complete goofball, so everything evens out in a way. With a PHD in palaeontology, he did work at a museum until a misunderstanding over a sandwich led to his dismissal on the grounds of rage. But we think he still gets paid for talking about dinosaurs.
Perhaps all this dinosaur business explains his problems with women in some way. His first wife turned out to be a lesbian, though they did sire a child together: Ben. But the true love of his life has always been Rachel. Since the very twinklings of puberty, Ross has been following her around like a bad smell. But those two have been on and off more than Jodie Marsh’s underthings.
While they attempted to form even the most basic of relationships Ross has been out with Julie, Chloe, Elizabeth and even married Emily. But only Rachel dressed up as Princess Leia in the metal bikini.
For some reason, despite her breaking his nose and being very, very anal, Ross still keeps company with his sister Monica. The Geller competitiveness occasionally spills out into the lives of those around them and blood is spilled. But it’s just the Geller way.
Oh and he’s got a monkey.
