A Case of the Crabs

The original Nick Bounty adventure as you point and click the hard-boiled detective through a crustacean based mystery

Review

OK, if you can get past the Carry On double-entendre in the title, there are actually some decent jokes in what Sara W describes as "a thinking game, and a murder mystery - so that makes it even better". You're private investigator Nick Bounty, who's sure he can smell something fishy when a dead body in his office leads him to a nightmarish crustacean-counterfeiting conspiracy.

The controls are flexible enough once you get the hang of them (and your actual instructions appears on the screen as you create them, in a throwback to the old text-only adventures) of yesteryear). You don't have to worry about getting killed or saying the wrong thing - our only real quibble is that some of the puzzles aren't quite as cool as Curiously Strong All Night Long, but if you enjoyed the aggravations of The Mystery Of Time And Space, that shouldn't be a problem.

Controls

Mouse click on items/commands (in the right order) to move around, look at things, use them together, and so on.

Tips

Click and look at absolutely everything - and remember, the game is all about the crabs...
