Alien Hominid

Sartoony side-on shoot-em-up. And from the start you can't help but be impressed by the colourful drawing style, the neat interactive backgrounds (you can jump onto most of the buildings, which also attracts helicopter attention), and the vividly graphic violence.

What keeps you coming back, though, are the fiendishly ruthless FBI agents constantly trying to laser-beam your yellow alien hominid - there's always too many of them and they always shoot to kill, no matter how many you dispatch with your extraterrestrial armoury. In fact, there's so much going on it can be difficult to get the hang of the game - but if you persist it's a real treat for shoot-em-up connoisseurs.
