Deep Chalk 2

Atmospheric and quite beautiful point and click puzzler with a nice soundtrack as you try to move your diamond around

Review

'Your physical safety is assured. However, the Chalk is Deep, and there are no answers,' reads the opening page of the sequel to last month's Deep Chalk from newcomer Zack Stone. There was a ripple of excitement when that one came out, only dulled by complaints that it was too short and too easy, basically we wanted more!

Credit to him though, Zack listened. He's brought us a definite improvement. There is still an underlying Boards of Canada 'tone' with some rollovers even triggering pieces of songs. You are still a submachine-esque diamond but the scope and grand beauty have come on leaps and bounds. It's still too easy and too short but this should only be a compliment. We still want more and more!

Controls

Classic point 'n' click mouse work is all that is required here, with a couple of nice flourishes on the rollovers.

Tips

Keep an eye on what is happening when you swoop your cursor around the screen - just clicking doesn't always cut it.
