Dirk Valentine

Dirk Valentine, far from being the sort of Fedora-wearing, sharp-talking private dick the name suggests, is a little fella with a big gun, a chain-gun to be precise. While we're battling perceptions, this isn't the chain-gun you might expect - that rotates and fires hundreds of bullets every second - this is a gun, that fires chains.

You have to help Dirk navigate a Cold War/WWII Engine room landscape, jumping from platform to platform, avoiding missiles and then taking the lift to the next level. All the while you must use your chain-gun to create bridges, dispatch enemies and make use of the conveniently positioned teleportation nodes. An eminently playable platform pleasure.
