Euro 2008 Volley

The abject failure of England to EVEN qualify for any decent competition means that they are notably absent from this game. But, like with the real tournaments, (and with most sports games, and most sports) not having our home country to pin our hopes behind makes the casual gameplay here all the more and casual, and therefore all the more fun to play/watch.

There have been umpteen previous football goal-scoring based games, all of which deserve a mention, but not all of which will get one here. In this one you control one player from your chosen team and as the ball comes across you have to time your strike to achieve the perfect connection...and score the goals to progress in the competition. It is initially maddening, but ultimately satisfying and a good ol' laugh, COME ON THE SWISS!

Use the left and right arrows to position your player on the edge of the box and then when the ball comes across from the left, pick your moment and press the spacebar to kick.

Try to position your player around the point where the ball is going to bounce so as keep it down and avoid swinging aimlessly into space.
