Review

Blocky point and click. Sheesh - you wait all year for a decent retro-flavoured graphic adventure, and then two come along at once. As Yoz points out, this one comes complete with "lots of Speccy nostalgia", in the form of those lovely low-resolution characters from the 1980s heyday of ZX Spectrum games.

As Sabreman, your job is to construct a retirement home for the likes of Jetman, Chuckie Egg, Optimus Prime (out of The Transformers), and Manic Miner, tackling challenges like a beauty contest, visit to the toilet, and sack of miniature donkeys along the way. It's not as complex as Peasant's Quest but, as you might expect from the co-author of Inverse Shoot-'Em-Up, it's very tastefully done - there are a few hints on the site.

Controls

Mouse to select action, or object or direction on screen.

Tips

As the hints point out, use the map to spot non-obvious exits. The "Use (X) with (Person)" construction is fairly straightforward, but look out for objects hidden in groups of other stuff.
