Sprite Smash

Take on a pixellated world of villains as one of America's most famous double acts

Review

When we say America's MOST famous double acts, we mean combos like Dr. House and Wilson from House, Stewart and Colbert from Saturday Night Live, Tyler and Jack from Fight Club, and Light and L from, err, Death Note (?). Sprite Smash revels in its lo fi qualities, with fights generally impossible to follow as the characters fly about and spin around. The special moves will, in the main have a short anim followed by a blast noise... then suddenly everyone's dead?!

It's the settings, bosses and details that make this special. In the House level you fight doctors and patients, on your way through the hospital only to face Cuddy in the finale. In Japan you meet Godzilla, and in Fight Club you meet... yourself. The music reflects the mood and there's a tag team element for you to get a hold of. It's all good, honest fun.

Controls

Use the arrow keys to move around and 'a' and 's' to attack, or 'a+s' to perform a special move. 'd' changes character.

Tips

Try to be creative with your attacks... sadly button-bashing doesn't seem to cut it. Also change your character carefully as you regain energy when you're not fighting.
