There's no Richard Whiteley, Carol Vorderman or giant ticking stopwatch in this "make as many words as you can out of these letters" anagram tester, but there's something even more terrifying: a rival train set on racing you to the next station. For every word you make, you get a burst of speed forward, and for every second you just carry on shuffling the letters trying to think of something, that other train just keeps on going.

In other words, it's a real treat for any Scrabble fans looking for a slightly more exciting version of Bookworm - right down to some slightly obscure (and possibly American?) word choices, like "Guttle", "Noh", or "Belive". You only get six letters per stage, though the pay-to-download full-screen Deluxe edition upgrades this to 7, along with new graphics, sound and music and an "exciting" new "Action" mode.

Mouse to drag letters to make words, or just type words on the keyboard and use Return to submit, Backspace to delete last letter, Escape to clear current word, Space to shuffle.

You can fill in a lot of blanks with odd three-letter words ("Efs", "Ens" and "Cee") - and, if you have an S as well, don't forget to try their plurals.
