The Crimson Room

Odd though intriguing Japanese room escapers, featuring some amusingly bad English translations and nice graphics

Review

"Excellent little puzzler!", says Tom. "Blindingly obvious once you've done it once but hideously brain itching if you haven't." Like some of the text-only classics of the genre, this compact adventure sticks you in a bedroom with a hangover - or, as the endearingly Japanese translations put it: "I felt thirst of the throat", "I am shut up", "I have to escape". And you do this by combining various objects you find in mildly unusual ways, until at last you too can join "The Escape Person List".

Our verdict - sure, the 3D graphics are great, but did they really have to make the puzzles so incredibly weird?
