The Viridian Room

As all three people who sent this in quickly spotted, this is the imaginatively named followup to the tortuous graphic adventure The Crimson Room. To its credit, the puzzles aren't quite as obscure this time, though that doesn't stop the entire experience from being migraine-inducingly baffling.

Also, for a change, you can already open the door to the room, it's just some restless spirit won't let you leave until certain tasks have been performed. Your mileage may vary, but we still found the whole thing slightly too weird to be able to work it out for ourselves - as ever, post a message (and your hints) on the "Talk about it" forum if you disagree...

There are 6 Chinese character cards to collect - you don't have to translate what they mean, but you do need to pick up almost every object that you possibly can (some need to be combined while you're looking at them in the "About this item" section). Plus, the site seems to be quite busy so you might need to press Refresh or Reload a few times to actually get the game to load (it will display a proper "Loading" progress bar when it does).
