Toon Crisis is like Time Crisis - the one where you hide behind things and then pop out and shoot the bad guys with the blue or pink gun, you know? - but if it was set in the Toon Town of Eddie Valiant's nightmares and soundtracked by gypsy-punk oddballs Gogol Bordello. The game opens with some handy cam first person footage walking down a street. The scene judders to a standstill and then you are set upon by a tirade of cartoon devils.

Using the mouse you control the hand-with-index-finger-extended in the way that means 'gun' (which later becomes hand-with-index-and-little-finger-extended that means Sports Metal) and by clicking the mouse you cast a lightning strike in the devils' direction, cool huh? There is a nice flow about the game and the animation fits perfectly with the background with enough new beasts popping up to keep your eyes firmly on the prize.
