Say hello to our favourite aristocrat, Barney Harper-McBride. You can call him Barndoor for short.
Swapping his castle for the dubious luxury of Halls, Barney found student life a real eye-opener, especially when it came to everyday tasks like washing his own pants and stuff. He coped though, especially as his expensive tastes and chivalrous ways were hit with the Hollyoaks ladies (we mean YOU, Cheryl!).
It hasn't all been a bed of roses for Mr Harper-McBride though. When Barney invited the students to spend New Year's Eve with him at his country estate they were shocked to discover that Barney's parents treated him terribly - constantly making fun of him and putting him down, the rotters. Thankfully, Barney stood up to them (yay!) but got himself disowned in the process, leaving him penniless (boo).
Not that he's let this sudden downturn in his finances stop him from having a good time - if there's a party going on then ol' Barndoor is sure to be at the centre of it, usually missing some items of clothing.
