He's brooding, he's moody, he's anti-social most of the time, he reads foreign literature and watches European cinema…in short, he's a bit gorgeous.
He's a protective brother to Ash and Lacey, forgiving son to Martha, plus – and we can't believe we nearly forgot to mention this – he's there for his mates when they really need him.
Don't believe us? Then just ask George. When Callum stumbled across George's secret – that he was living in a squat – he was horrified and from then on was George's knight in shining rollnecks. He gave him a home at the Kanes'. He offered him no end of love and support - Gallum, a true Hollyoaks bromance!
It’s been a tough few months for the Kanes, with Martha’s alcoholism and the arrival of fraudster Ally into the family home. Callum even gave up the opportunity of studying in America to stick by his disjointed family.
Callum also lost some of his closest friends in the tragic mini-bus crash, including his ex-girlfriend Maddie, who broke-off their turbulent relationship after she saw him smooching Theresa. Perhaps one of the few people to see Maddie for the manipulative bully that she was, Callum warned her that karma would catch up with her. Needless to say, it did.
Things are finally on the up for the Kanes, with Ally getting the boot (for agreeing to sleep with Lacey) and Martha (now vom-free and sober, yay!) back rightfully at the helm.
