Meet Dennis: Will, Liberty and Dodger's long lost cousin.
Awkward, emotionally clumsy but ever so pleasant, Dennis is an uncomfortably lovely presence in Hollyoaks. He arrived in the village to make the Savage family just a little bigger and fit straight in. His chirpy disposition and refreshing (albeit awkward) sense of humour makes him, in our opinion, the catch of the village. This view hasn't necessarily been shared by the 'Oaks girls so far (he's been known to continually strike out with Leanne) but we're sure they'll catch up.
He's kind-hearted, maladroit and - ahem - an expert at photoshop (fooling his friends into believing he jetted off to Mumbai, rather than staying home and fretting over his fear of flying). Who could resist those qualities?
Don't worry Dennis, WE LOVE YOU.
We spoke to Joe to dive a little deeper into his brain...
Sum up your character in five words:
Very awkward yet delightfully tolerable.
On a scale of one to ten, how similar to your character are you?
Seven. We have the same face, which covers numbers one through five, and the other two are because we both go through life trying to do the right thing, and do it to the best of our ability. And more often than not, we end up looking like an idiot. Smooth.
Funniest moment on set:
My funniest moment on set was the one day me and Emmett Scanlan actually worked together. He can't look at me without laughing because of my, and I quote "funny little mole face"...so yeah. That was a comedy riot.
Pet hate:
When my dog licks itself.
Most embarrassing moment (in life, not on set):
I have embarrassing moments every day, so I'll just tell you one from yesterday. I was going down some stairs and 3 quite beautiful women came through the entrance of the building. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I did that thing when you think there's one more step left than there actually is. So, expecting more stair, I stepped onto the floor, tripped over my own leg, and head butted hot girl number 1 in the chest. I died on the inside.
Biggest achievement:
Waking up before 11.Ideal man/woman:
Paul Giamatti.
Favourite film:
Sharktopus 2.
