Jack Osborne (played by Jimmy McKenna)
Jack Osborne: the dad of Hollyoaks. Not literally, mind, we just mean that if there's one person who is a dependable father figure to the young 'uns of the 'Oaks it's Jack.
Arriving in Hollyoaks many, many years ago, Jack ran The Dog with his son Darren and daughter Ruth. Eventually marrying Frankie, all seemed well until gambling addict Darren lost The Dog in a game of poker. Though they got it back, Jack's financial situation plummeted, leaving him suicidal...until Darren came up with a plan to solve their problems - faking Jack's death.
Jack spent months pretending to be dead, hiding in The Dog attic. When twisted Niall got wind of Jack's faked death, he attacked the ex-cop leaving him for dead! Jack and Darren then served a prison sentence for fraud.
When he was released Jack started rebuilding his life, taking various odd jobs to make ends meet until the Costello's eventually appointed him manager of The Dog. Though he struggled to forgive his son, Darren strived to make amends and at Christmas 2011 he truck up a deal with Riley to let the Osbornes run The Dog. Jack was finally home!
Ever welcoming to Frankie's children and various Hollyoaks waifs and strays, he is now (grand)father figure to Esther, Ruby, Tom and Charlie - not to mention daughter-in-law Nancy!
Jack was a rock of support to Darren during Dancy's recent miscarriage heartache. Aww.

Jimmy arrived in Hollyoaks having previously played roles in Highlander, When Saturday Comes, and A Touch of Frost.
