Pete Hamill (played by Peter Mitchell)
Honest, moral and extremely head-strong, when Pete gets hold of something, he doesn't let go. Pete took the plane over from Ireland in February 2011, armed with a lilting accent and a whole can of worms on Brendan Brady. He made it his mission to let everyone know the real truth about his old pal from the home country.
As head of Hollyoaks High School, Pete has kept a tight ship. Favourite disciplinary measures of his include washing the school windows, washing the school corridors and...er, washing the school toilets...obviously a stickler for cleanliness. He is also the unwitting object of Ruby Button's misplaced affections. He took her under his wing in a bid to help improve her literacy. Ironically, it looks like it's Pete who's read signals all wrong!
About Peter Mitchell
Peter Mitchell has an impressive CV. An ex-professional footballer, he signed for Leeds United when he was 16, although his career was ended tragically when he was just 18. He appeared in Channel 4's Cast-offs in 2009. Peter has also filmed a feature film in Derry, which is yet to be released.
