Rhys Ashworth (played by Andrew Moss)
Rhys is the eldest son and now only remaining member of the Ashworth family still to live in the village. Historically, he's had a reputation as a bit of a village sleaze ball and womaniser, but since Jacqui McQueen came into his life, those tom-Cat ways of old have been curtailed.
These days, it’s all about one woman for our Rhys, although they’ve not had an easy ride. First, Danny Houston tried to use Jacqui to pay off a debt in the King of Hearts special late-night episode. Then, when Jacqui accused his best mate Gilly of raping her, Rhys had to make a tough decision. He chose to stand by his woman. It was a tough time for both of them, but Racqui came out stronger than ever after the whole ordeal…

Rhys and Jacqui also the proud parents of a beautiful young pooch called Terry, or ‘Terreh’ as Racqui would have it. When Jacqui found him neglected and brought him into their home Rhys’ objections were always going to be futile. He was less than happy though after Jacqui brought another stray into their home – Phoebe, that is – who repayed their hospitality by robbing them both blind. Jacqui’s determined not to give up on Phoebe. Rhys, on the other hand, reckons she’s only mugging herself off with this one…
