Seamus Brady (played by Fintan McKeown)

Seamus' arrival in the Village for Christmas 2012 wasn't universally welcomed. Whilst Cheryl idolised her da, for Brendan Seamus' arrival brought only heartache and bad memories. In Hollyoaks Later 2012 we discovered that Brendan had been abused as a child by his father; a fact which he kept secret from his sister Cheryl.

Seamus' mere presence threatened Brendan's relationship with his sister and with his boyfriend Ste, no one understanding why Brendan couldn't warm to his Dad.

In March 2013 it looked like they had reached some kind of understanding. Brendan's nemesis Walker, hell-bent on revenge for the death of his brother Cam, held Seamus and his son captive and forced them, at gunpoint, to 'confront their demons'. Just as it looked like Seamus would never admit the truth, he finally said sorry.

Their truce didn't last long though. It turned out Seamus' apology was a hollow one. He hadn't repented at all.

Meanwhile, Walker may have been out of the picture after his showdown with Brendan, which ended with him being pushed in front of a train, but he still managed to wreak havoc from beyond the grave. A tape recording he'd left behind showed Cheryl the truth about her father. She turned up at Chez Chez just in time to find him reverting to form with Brendan and promptly shot her Da dead. Goodnight Seamus.
