Tony Hutchinson (played by Nick Pickard)
Where do we start with The Hutch? Hollyoaks' longest serving character, Tony has had what you would call "a colourful life".
Quite the Romeo, he has been married TWICE. His first marriage to Mandy ended in heartbreak when their baby daughter Grace sadly died. His second marriage to Cindy ended in acrimony when she cheated on him with Darren and he fell in love with Gabby Sharpe!
On top of that there's been numerous engagements, romances and flings - he's bedded THREE McQueens (Mercy, Theresa and, arguably the love of his life, Jacqui) and even had an affair with Mandy's mum. Weird times.
A natural-born entrepreneur, he has built (and lost) a business empire that would make Sir Alan proud, encompassing burger bars, launderettes, health spas and restaurants, the latter of which, Il Gnosh, was burnt to the ground in 2010 by his own brother Dom!
Tiring of life in the village, last year he upped sticks and headed off to travel around the world. When he returned he had a new relaxed outlook on life (and a sarong) and soon hooked up with Mandy (again). Sadly, a reunion for the ex Mr and Mrs Hutchinson was not to be as Mandy suddenly left the Village without so much as a goodbye, leaving only a note for a bereft Tony. Sob!
Since then, Tony has been keeping himself busy. He is now the manager of College Coffee (resulting in the bitter pre-Christmas "smoothie wars" with Darren) and even (unsuccessfully) taught Neil how to drive.
It was at Darren and Nancy's wedding where Tony surprised us all by hooking up with yet another of his ex wives - this time Cindy! The two of them now live together and are trying to rebuild their former empires, though Tony's recent plans to re-buy Cincerity were scuppered by Brendan.
He may be down but he's certainly not out. NEVER underestimate the Hutch.
