John Paul McQueen (played by James Sutton)
John Paul was devastated by the departure of his first love Craig Dean, but then moved on while at University, meet Father Kieron Hobbs. John Paul and Kieron embarked on a secret affair which was made public by Myra at Max and Steph's wedding. The couple then got engaged but hit rocky ground when John Paul began to worry he was too young for marriage.
When childhood sweetheart, Craig Dean returned, John Paul realised it was him that he wanted to be with. Deciding to tell Kieron the truth, John Paul went to his flat, only to find Kieron dead after Niall had poisoned him.
Wracked with guilt, John Paul at first refused to continue his relationship with Craig but later changed his mind and left Hollyoaks for Dublin with his one true love, Craig. John Paul briefly returned to Hollyoaks after being kidnapped by twisted half brother Niall and watching his sister Tina die in the church explosion. We last saw John Paul saying a tearful farewell to his mum and sisters before heading back to Dublin.
James joined the cast ahead of the 2007 Calendar shoot, having previously appeared in Sky One's Dream Team 80s.
