Valerie Holden (played by Samantha Giles)
Leo's estranged wife first appeared in HOLLYOAKS village to drop off children Danny and Lauren. On her return she became a key figure in the chaotic Valentines household, pushing Myra McQueen out to take her place in Leo's life.
Val kissed Leo's son Calvin, and felt uncomfortable when an unknowing Leo then asked for her hand in marriage. Petrified of this commitment, Val fled the village to start a new life in Spain, taking her son Danny with her.
Samantha is probably best known for her role as Bernice in Emmerdale. She has also appeared in Where the Heart is, Doctors, Dangerfield, Coronation Street and Midnight Man.
