She isn't all about hell-raising in the SU Bar though- balancing student life with spending time with her mum Martha and being a responsible older sister to Callum and Lacey.
When she got herself a job at Chez Chez this brought her into the orbit of a certain Mr Brady. Psychology student Ash couldn't help but be drawn to the complex layered onion that is the Double B and convinced him to let her use him as a case study... unsurprisingly, that didn’t go down too well.
Ash then found herself in a different kind of danger when she was diagnosed with meningitis and induced into a coma. Best pal Will was waiting by her bedside all the while, and it seemed like only a matter of time before Will and Ash became 'a thing'. After saving Will's bacon at the Savage Party, by generally organising everything, Ash confessed her love of Will to Dodger! Naww.
Unfortunately for this potential love-match, something went a bit wrong. Namely the fact that Will had been stalking girls online, to get inside the mind of a serial killer. We can't say that we blame Ash for being a bit put off...
From one disaster to another, Ash jumped straight into the arms of fraudster 'army medic' Ally. With her alcoholic mum Martha being, well, a bit of a bad alcoholic mum, Ally saw his chance to take his place at the head of the family. Like a big, handsome, Aussie cuckoo, he swooped in and turfed Martha out. With Ash running around trying to keep the family together and hold down a degree, she didn't see the relationship blossoming between Ally and her little sis, Lacey.
It was only when Martha burst in on Ally and Lacey in bed together (!) that Ally's sordid ways were exposed. With her ego battered and bruised, Ash welcomed Martha back into the Kane family home. Hurrah! Newly single and ready to mingle, what's next Ash?
