Myra McQueen (played by Nicole Barber-Lane)
Myra. The McQueen Bee. A sovereign lady, with a penchant for sovereign rings; she sits at the head of perhaps the village's most fearsome tribe. Myra turned up in the village, decked out like Mr. T, back in 2007. One of her first storylines involved catching pubic lice from Leo Valentine. Nice.
Fiercely protective of her family, Myra's often had to choose between them. When Niall Rafferty, the son she abandoned at birth, returned to wreak revenge on the whole clan, Myra had to choose whose life to save. As well as losing Tina in the blast that Niall set off, Myra almost lost Jacqui, who felt betrayed by her mother's decision not to spare her.
Myra's had a string of failed relationships. Keen to make sure her children don't make the same mistakes she has, she was overjoyed when Mercy managed to bag a professional footballer in Riley Costello. Myra is determined that Mercy keep hold of those coat-tails, even if it means lying to her fiancé...

Prior to her role as Myra, Nicole played Mrs Harper in TV series Cops. She's also had parts in both Departure Lounge and Bodies.
