Introducing Sinead, our favourite scouse car alarm. She's got attitude by the bucket load and is often heard before she's seen. Arriving in Hollyoaks when her father Rob took a job at Hollyoaks High, she didn't take her time making an impression on the village.
Despite the support of loving step-mother Diane, Sinead has been known to go off the rails every now and then. Not always one for great decision-making, Sinead has developed quite a catalogue of ill-choices, including running away with her loved-up boyfriend Bart McQueen to go work on the fairground with absolutely zero cash, and a one-night stand with the dearly departed Rhys Ashworth, which resulted in her pregnancy. Mouthy and easily-led, Sinead also sided with Maddie in her hate campaign against Esther Bloom.
Sinead has been through a lot in the past few years, so we'll forgive her for her frequent teary outbursts. Life for the sometimes selfish, always dramatic Sinead has had more ups and downs that the roller coasters she attempted to work on, but she's always kept the Hollyoaks village exciting.
Prior to her role as Sinead on Hollyoaks, Stephanie Davis is best known for being one of the contestants in BBC1's 'Over The Rainbow' TV talent search.
We caught up with Stephanie to find out more...
Sum up your character in five words:
Strong, feisty, emotional, cheeky and independent
On a scale of one to ten, how similar to your character are you?
5. We're similar in that I'm emotional and strong- willed, and I'm young and facing important life decisions. But not similar in the sense that I'm a lot wiser than Sinead and wouldn't put myself in some of the situations she has found herself in. Also, I don't think I cry as much as Sinead but that is mainly due to the bad decisions Sinead makes. She's got a lot of regrets.
Funniest moment on set:
Far too many to say, but up there with the best of them is the time I decided to do my lines through the form of interpretive dance, just as we were about to take. The whole set fell about crying laughing, and so did I. Everyone's shoulders were going up and down and although we did a re-take, I don't think it was ever used.
Pet hate:
When someone continually taps their feet or hands, especially when the TV is on!
Most embarrassing moment (in life, not on set):
Skinny dipping in my friend's swimming pool when I was younger. My friends decided to play a joke on me and they all got out and ran off with my towel. My friend's father came down and shouted at me to get out of the pool, but when he realised the situation, he shouted at me to get back in. I was mortified!
Biggest achievement:
Besides getting a part in my favourite soap, it has to be when I san live on TV each week during Andrew Lloyd Webber's TV talent search 'Over the Rainbow'.
Favourite film:
Legends of the Fall.
