Q: If you wanted headache pills, but you didn't want to worsen the headache by experiencing the hustle and bustle of a large pharmacist, where would you buy your headache pills from? A: Little Boots. Q: If you wanted to listen to credible pop music with an Italian-disco slant whose records would you buy? A: Little Boots.
Yes, yes, Victoria Hesketh, the woman who surely is sick of such boots orientated jokes, has come on leaps and bounds since she gave her indie-electro band Dead Disco the BOOT back in 2008. Her solo talent came to the fore after a series of shake your BOOT-y synth-pop covers uploaded to YouTube garnered thousands of admirers.
It wasn't long before Little Boots topped the BBC 'Sound of...' predictions list for 2009. And then came the top 20 hits and the top ten album. With all this success let's hope Victoria doesn't become too big for her little BOOTS.

Chipmunk is the best hip-hop act in the world. That's not speculation, that's just 2009 MOBO awards fact. At 18 years old Chipmunk is already deemed better than established acts such as Kanye West, Eminem and Dizzee Rascal.
Like that there Dizzee Rascal, Chipmunk worked his way up through the London grime scene. When he was just 14 years old, Chipmunk's local youth club encouraged him to MC - our youth club simply encouraged us to eat Chewits and drink Panda shandy!
Chipmunk then went on to join Shoddy Crew and then, latterly, Circular Movements. Underground radio stations gave Mr Munk's talents more exposure then ever before and it wasn't long before Chipmunk went solo. With his third single, 'Diamond Rings', Chipmunk cracked the top ten.
Chipmunk shows us his toilet – and why not!? – in the Episode Five Gallery!
Ou Est Le Swimming Pool? Yes, that's right language fans – they've both English and French words in their band name. Quite frankly, that's as mad as a three-piece playing electro-pop whilst sporting moustaches, which, would you believe, is something Ou Est Le Swimming Pool also happen to excel at.
The bi-lingual boys crossed paths in Camden last year and, within a matter of months, have already impressively shared stages with Alphabeat, Mr. Hudson, and Cypress Hill (and less impressively shared stages with Sam Sparro and Reverend And The Makers). All these live performances have been clocked up although the group have only just released their debut single – but what a single!
Their hit, 'Dance The Way I Feel' is as infectious as swine flu, though a bit more enjoyable! Radio One's Fearne Cotton clearly agrees (with the enjoyment factor not the analogy to swine flu) because she gave the boys her single of the week. Oooh! Get them!
