One maybe forgiven for thinking, "Jason DeRulo? Jason DeWho-o more like!" Fair enough! Jase The Ace may not be a household name in good old blighty, but back in his native U.S, Jason's infiltrated more households than, I don't know, Gatorade. But have you ever seen Gatorade get to number one in the U.S Billboard chart!? I don’t think so! Jason DeRulo has though! And now, Jason has made his debut British TV appearance on The Hollyoaks Music Show with Matalan.co.uk. He's spoilt! He really is...
Performing the multi-million selling 'Whatcha Say', Jason took to the Hollyoaks village stage like Michael Jackson incarnate. Armed with an abundance of robotic moves that would have Peter Crouch growling with jealousy, JD blew away any fears that he may find performing on the set of a soap opera he's never heard, whilst a little boy watches on dressed as a rockstar who he's never heard of (Liam Gallagher), a little bit weird. What a pro!
Uh-oh! Jason's been giving away babies. Read on for more details!
The last time we saw Aussie twins The Veronicas rock out on The Dog In The Pond patio it was in episode two. It was a very sad occasion and reminded pretty much all and sundry of the Burton twins most gruesome death in Hollyoaks. However, this time round, The Veronicas performance of new single, 'Everything I'm Not' almost seemed like a celebration of the Burtons' life.
Justin Burton wasn't their to mark the impromptu memorial to his deceased sisters, but if he was then I'm sure he'd a) Try it on with at least one of The Veronicas and b) Approve of their Kelly Clarkson-pretending-to-be-rock ditty.
Picture the scene... You're running late for work/school/the zoo, you're rushing to the bus stop, but then, on your approach, you notice a dreadlocked red haired man playing the guitar. You think to yourself, "Not a busker! I hate buskers!" You decide, despite your lateness, to go to the next bus stop... WHAT A MISTAKE-A TO MAKE-A! That busker was million selling record artiste Newton Faulkner and this fictional bus stop was the one used in Hollyoaks village.
The bus stop was heaving, yet no one wanted to use the public transport on offer. So, instead, Newton treated an audience - including Hollyoaks kiddos Nico (Newt), Nat (Sasha), Elliot (Dave) and Sonny (Josh) – to a showcasing of a lovely acoustic number called 'Over and Out'.
She may share the same name as your Nan, but, by gosh, I've never seen your Nan look as sexy as Swedish pop honey, Agnes, Admittedly, Agnes may not cook as well as your Nan, but having said that, she certainly cooked up a dance pop delight on Il Gnosh patio.
Singing new single 'I Need You Now' with the backing of a string laden band, Agnes, no doubt buoyed on by the presence of Lil' Liam Gallager (see the episode seven gallery!), gyrated like a good 'un and gave it her all. "Please don’t turn me away," the Swedish Pop Idol singer sang, well, there's not a chance of that!
