The Music Show is over for another series. And what a series it was!
There were so many highlights...
Plus, there's much more over on the Hollyoaks Music Show with Matalan.co.uk site.
Who says that urban music and agricultural references shouldn't mix? Not, as we learned when up n' coming London rapper Wretch32 came to town to perform Traktor in Priceslice...
They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch. They’re wrong. This series, Matt and Darren were served lunch on The Dog Patio gratis. Even better, their waitress happened to be Wonderland's Jodi Albert (of former Hollyoaks Debbie Dean fame, no less). You can get Wonderland's look at a knocked-down price with this handy li'l Style-File
.
One personal highlight of ours included the moment when soap sages Matt and Darren found none other than rap-sensation Mann was found lurking in the McQueens' bedroom (a coveted spot for any red-blooded male). We saw him perform The Mack and Buzzin' from there.
Boyband sensation The Wanted treated Chez Chez to performances from 'Gold Forever' and brand new single 'Glad You Came' early in the series...
Hearts were set a-flutter when we were joined by none other than Peter Andre! Peter has become such a huge star that if it were not for the fact that someone else got there first, he'd almost definitely be called 'Andre the giant'. He played his new track 'Perfect Night' outside MOBs.
This series also saw the much anticipated return of Hard Fi. They played us their new summer smash, 'Good For Nothing' in the same show that all-singing, all-dancing, all...bang tidy girl band Parade play the intoxicating 'Perfume' for us in Tony's flat.
Dinky superstars Tinchy and Dappy performed brand new smash hit 'Spaceship' on The Dog patio to hoards of screaming fans at the start of the series . Meanwhile, the flame-haired Ed Sheeran serenaded us in the village with his new track 'The A-Team' (which, incidentally, has nothing to do with the tv-show). To find out what's happening in their worlds, check out our interviews with the stars. Plus, you can look just like them (without the hassle) with our nifty little style guides!
Finally, show one set an excellent standard with pop-electro-urban number one smash-hitter Example.
There was loads more to shout about from the series too. If you missed any of it, catch up on 4od.
