We grabbed Stuart Manning (Russ) for a quick chat about why he’s leaving HOLLYOAKS and what he's planning to do next...
Why have you decided to leave Hollyoaks?
I think for me it’s time to move on. I’ve been here five and a bit years now, so quite a long time. The character has run its course now. I feel Russ has done all that he can do now without making it over the top and a bit rubbish. So it was time for me to leave and there could be other stuff in the pipelines.
Do you have an idea about what you want to do then?
Yeah, I mean I think everyone’s got an idea, but it’s just if they can get it done. Obviously, at the moment I’ve got a few things overseas that I want to do, and also there are quite a few things here that I want to do. But I can’t give away too much at the moment though!
