SCAMS
Friday 2 October
Local Chester-based band Scams featured in this year's Hollyoaks Later episodes. Joining the Ashworth kids for their story at a festival, the four-piece performed their track inside the big blue tent in Episode Two. And they went down a storm! Loads of you have emailed in asking about the band, so here's a little more information for you to feast your eyes upon...
Band biog:
In the first six months of their existence, Scams played at the famous SXSW Festival five times, played the Reeper Bahn festival in Hamburg and were voted "Best Emerging Band" by the Liverpool Sound City Festival. It looks like the young quartet has a promising future lying ahead of them!

Scams don't fit any genre cliché - they break through genre-barriers, mixing ideas and fusing opposites. Their sound is fresh and full of energy. It's produced by a joint effort of all four band members, with everyone singing and playing different instruments. The result sounds a bit punk and rock & roll with a little bit of dance and electronica but still without being afraid to keep things amazingly catchy.
You can check Scams out by looking at their Myspace, and you can also follow them on Twitter...
