Fun-loving Gilly has been through a hard time after the revelation that his best friend Rhys was having an affair with his fiancee Beth (Rhys' half sister), and Beth's subsequent death. However, the Ashworth family continue to support and love him as one of their own, with Neville making Gilly the new Manager of 'Drive 'N' Buy.

Lately Gilly has been spending his time with Rhys, trying to think up ways of getting gorgeous women to start drinking at The Dog.
