Brooke Davis, the best friend of Peyton Sawyer is the rich, popular, outgoing, and occasionally promiscuous head cheerleader at Tree Hill High. During her younger years, she was quite a wild girl, dating lots of boys and demanding to be the life and soul of the party. But her relationship with Lucas and Lucas’ mother Karen calms her down a little.
Lucas and Brooke bond when caring for a sick Peyton. But the love triangle between the three would often grow strained and the best friends were estranged for a time. When a secret tryst between Peyton and Lucas emerges, Brooke is more upset by her friend’s disloyalty, rather than the act itself.
Her rich girl status is also questioned as her family hits financial trouble and almost lose everything. Her parents decide to move to California, but Lucas convinces his mom to let Brooke move in with her so she can stay in Tree Hill. When not dating Lucas, she got involved with the slightly deranged Felix and the musician Chris, but always seemed to make it back with Lucas.
While still at school, she developed her clothing line, 'Clothes over Bros', which would develop into her ticket out of Tree Hill. She eventually becomes a successful businesswoman and household name, but still feels the need to return to Tree Hill.
When we return to Tree Hill, Clothes over Bros is a massive success, but Brooke is still not happy and returns to Tree Hill, opens a new store on the site of Karen's Cafe and yearns to have a baby. Her relationship with her mother disintergrates as she takes over control of the company - eventually relinquishing control of the company to her when Brooke is attacked at her store. Brooke develops her parenting skills by fostering a rebellious teen - Sam.
