We first met Julian when he jetted into Tree Hill to produce the film of Lucas's book 'An Unkindness of Ravens and we discovered he was Peyton's ex-boyfriend. At first, Peyton did not reveal to Lucas that Julian is her ex, but she is forced to do so as the movie takes shape. Lucas and Julian fought, but he and Lucas gradually bond as the movie develops.
Attracted to Brooke, she rebuffed his advances until Peyton gave her blessing and the relationship blossomed. Brooke, However, Brooke is still unable to open her heart to anyone until Victoria convinces not top end up like her. Brooke and Victoria reconcile and Brooke flies to L.A. to say "I love you, too" back to Julian. Brooke's confession is successful, as Julian and Brooke's relationship is back on track at the start of series 7. But a movie offer and trouble from his father soon causes ructions for the new couple.
