One of Lucas’ oldest friends, Mouth’s dream has always been to be a sports commentator (hence the name). He first displayed his skills chattering along to Lucas’ River Court games and then followed his pal to the Ravens, where he created ravenshoops.com – dedicated to providing the play by play for every game.
Not known for his luck with the ladies, Mouth was ‘bought’ by Brooke at a charity auction and has been smitten with her ever since. He’s also dabbled with Erica Marsh, Brooke’s School Council President rival, bad girl Rachel Gattina, co-commentator Gigi Silveri, Shelly Simon, who took him to the Prom then took him ‘all the way’ and Brooke’s assistant Millicent Huxtable.
As well as befriending the Scotts, he was also close to Jimmy Edwards at High School, but soon moved further into the Ravens circle and alienated his friend. Jimmy didn’t really take this too well and he was holding members of the faculty at gunpoint in series 3. But not all of Mouth’s friendships end so dramatically.
By Season 5, Mouth is trying to make it as a sports' reporter. By sleeping with his boss, he gets himself a job, but when he splits up with her, he finds himself suddenly unemployed. But when his boss is exposed as a sex pest, she is fired and he gets his first big break due to his own merits. Soon, he’s settled down with Millicent, got the job he always wanted and attends best friend's Lucas’ wedding. But, in true Mouth fashion, everything soon gets complicated.
Mouth then moves to Omaha to continue his sports reporting career and Millicent travels with his. But when Brooke returns to Tree Hill, Millicent also returns to help her. They're seperated for a time, then Mouth heads back to his home town to be with her. But a new intern soon causes more trouble for Mouth.
